Workshop: Well-Being and The Price of Happiness

A six-week workshop presented by Dr. Sharon Horne

Background to the Workshop

Is there a price for happiness? You bet!  In London, 22 years ago a very wise, very happy Buddhist master shared with me his truth on this topic. I have never forgotten it. He said simply: "the price of happiness is constant vigilance".  (Unfortunately, vigilance is especially susceptible to fatigue! And that occurs even before you are sure what you should be vigilant, watching, or alert to!)

Based on the principles of cognitive behavioural therapy, this workshop explores the meaning of constant vigilance. Negative thinking patterns and habitual reactions can be extremely deceptive and persuasive. Even if it is just ONE way of thinking, feeling, or behaving that is holding you back, you can feel like you may never have what you truly long for. Don't settle for second best. This workshop will change your thinking forever.
